Hello, When I was working with mycelium, I sometimes had a rough surface. To get this surface nice and smooth I used a sanding machine but this was still not 100% what I wanted. After some talking with the people from the shop I found out that the best thing to do is to sand the mycelium before it goes into the oven. After baking you have a very smooth surface.
