Agar-agar                 45 g

Glycerol                    45 g

Water                       750 ml

Recipe for agar agar and woodchips

Step 1:

Mix glycerol, water and agar-agar in the cooking pot.

Step 2:

Heat the mix up on the electric stove until bubbles start appearing.

Step 3:

Add the woodchips to the mix.

Step 4:

Mix untill you get a homogenous mass.

Step 5:

Place the rubber film on the bottom of the mold.

Step 6:

Pour the mix into the mold and spread it evenly.

Compress the material, for plates 1 metric ton under the hydraulic press or by jumping on top of the mold.

Remove from mold and place on a drying rack

Step 9:

Optional: Put your item into an oven at 80°C to dry faster an prevent moulding.

Xanthaan                  45 g

Glycerol                    45 g

Recipe for xanthaan and woodchips

Step 1:

Mix glycerol, water and xanthaan in the cooking pot until you get a jelly (don't worry if there are still some small chunks)

Step 2:

Add the woodchips to the jelly.

Step 3:

Mix untill you get a homogenous mass.

Step 4:

Place the rubber film on the bottom of the mold.

Step 5:

Pour the mix into the mold and spread it evenly.

Step 6:

Place the plastic sheet on top of the mix followed by lid of the mold.

Compress the material, for plates 1 metric ton under the hydraulic press or by jumping on top of the mold.

Step 8:

Remove the sheet from mold and place on a drying rack

Step 9:

Optional: Put your item into an oven at 80°C to dry faster an prevent moulding.
